Based in Port St Johns, in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, Wild Side Hikes is a tour operator with experienced, professionally-accredited tourist guides, providing visitors a taste of our diverse and rural part of the Province.

We are a new-generation company, a community-based Development Company with the objective of uplifting the former disadvantaged communities we work with in the areas we operate through tourism initiatives.

The founder member and the managing director of Wild Side Hiking, Albert Nogwina has vast experience in the tourism industry after having worked for companies as a tourist guide since 2002. The company was founded in 2013 and was fully registered in 2015.

The Eastern Cape is where many political figures in the struggle against apartheid were born or raised including Dr. Nelson Mandela, Steve Biko, Oliver Thambo, Winnie Mandela, etc. Not only does the province have a rich political and cultural history, it also has breath-taking natural beauty, from the dramatic Drakensburg Mountains to the wide open sandy beaches, from bustling cities to tranquil game parks and reserves.
